Some of the common reasons why some tradies still buy DIY packs:
Reason: I can't afford to outlay the cost of 1000 boxes
Answer: Did you know you’re outlaying the cost of a box of 1000 with every 2 small packs you’re buying?
Reason: I'm only small, maybe when I grow I'll start buying in bulk
Answer: 1000 boxes are not ‘bulk‘ they’re simply trade friendly-sized boxes that mean you don’t have to re-stock as often. The small DIY packs were never meant for tradies in the first place, they were for weekend warriors doing jobs around the house!
Reason: It's just so convenient being able to grab what I need at the wholesaler
Answer: How much is ‘convenience‘ really costing you? For our customers, convenience is buying right, keeping stock in the van so you don’t have to constantly down tools and run to the closest wholesaler & Ablefix’s lightning fast, to your door delivery service!
Reason: I don’t have the space for 1000 boxes
Answer: 1000 boxes sound big, but 1000 screws is actually not a lot and they fit into pretty small boxes. If you run the standard size Milwaukee Packout cases, some of our 1000 boxes only fill up one compartment.
Reason: We’re not that big, it would take us months to use 1000 screws
Answer: Is that really true? Have you actually counted up how many 100 packs you and your guys grab every time you’re at the wholesaler?
Reason: Screws and fixings aren’t a big part of my consumables costs so I’m not too worried how much they cost
Answer: Some of our one-man-band customers chew through several thousand screws every month and we’ve been able to save them over 30% off their consumables spend due to the 70%+ reduction in their screws and anchors costs!
Reason: I’d like to change but I’m too busy to even look into changing at the moment
