Need to screw decking or subfloors to thin metal? This screw has changed the game! Screws like wing tek screws are great normally for this application, especially when you’re going into decent purlins below however, if you’re going into thinner metal e.g. steel framed homes metal studs or softer metals you will find the metal not strong enough to snap off the wing. This means the screw won’t grab at all.
These screws are effectively a wing tek without the wings!
Self drilling point, self embedding head, please note: pre-drilling & countersinking is normally required in hardwood-to-steel situations to prevent splitting the boards.
